What is Chemistry Club?

The Salters’ Chemistry Club used to be a handbook created for teachers to develop and grow science clubs in schools. It has now evolved into an interactive online platform that aims to demystify chemistry, show where chemistry is found in everyday life and demonstrate the wide range of careers chemistry can lead to.

Learners explore chemistry in our everyday lives and see that being a chemist isn’t all about wearing a white coat in a lab. Interactive activities aimed at ages 11-14 are centred around a monthly theme; recent themes have included textiles, light, medicine and space! Every weekday at 8am, a new activity is shared including: videos, infographics, fill in the blanks, guess the element, word searches and quizzes.

Have a look at an example infographic that can be found on Chemistry Club.
