The Salters’ Institute, a registered charity based in London, creates innovative programming to promote chemistry and related sciences. We engage with diverse audiences and ensure that chemistry is accessible for all.
Our outreach is underpinned by four main strands: Chemistry for All, Chemistry for Scholars, Chemistry for Good and Chemistry for Community.

William received a scholarship from the Salters’ Institute and graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1956. Discover his incredible journey into the chemical industry, including becoming President of the Institution of Chemical Engineers in 1980.
