Technician Awards
Technician Awards are for secondary school science technicians.
Graduate Awards are for final-year undergraduate students studying chemistry and chemical engineering across the UK.
Our Graduate Awards celebrate candidates that demonstrate the ability to become leaders within their chosen field.
For University Heads of Departments and Schools: Please note, if you have a strong candidate who may not achieve a First-Class Honours but shows the ability to meet the above criteria, please contact the Awards and Alumni Programme Manager to discuss your potential nomination at [email protected].
The Heads of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Departments at universities in the UK may nominate one candidate. It is therefore advised that universities undergo their own selection procedure before nominating a candidate for the Salters’ Graduate Award.
Candidates should complete the application form which must be supported by a reference from the Head of Department and pay special attention to the criteria listed above.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the Salters’ Hall for interview by a range of panellists from industry. Candidates will be asked to produce a 3-minute video discussing a current topic within the chemical industry, related issues and potential solutions.
Salters’ Graduate Awards 2023 are now closed for applications. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 July 2023 at Salters’ Hall for those who are shortlisted.
