Wild City 2024 Participants Announced
The Salters’ Institute is excited to welcome six primary schools to Wild City 2024 and give a huge thanks all the schools who entered the Wild City 2024 Photography Competition.
Wild City is back and bigger than before! The Salters’ Institute is excited to welcome six primary schools to Wild City 2024.
The schools who will be joining Wild City 2024 are:
- Grazebrook Primary School
- Lauriston Primary School
- Morningside Primary School
- St John the Baptist Primary School
- St Luke’s Primary School
- St Matthias Primary School
We asked Year 5 students in the London area to explore the theme of biodiversity in their local area and capture it for our photography competition. Those successful have been shortlisted for our Wild City 2024 project.
This five-month project will see students work with experts, the Salters’ Institute and Edible Landscapes London to explore the importance of green spaces in their lives and local communities. Students will have the opportunity to take science learning outside the classroom and teachers will benefit from support in how to teach outdoor and environmental learning. Wild City is a legacy project that makes a real difference in the lives of our young London learners.
We would like to thank all the schools who submitted to the Wild City 2024 Photography Contest. This year we received the highest number of submissions to date, making it very difficult to choose which schools to move forward to the next stage.
