Salters’ Chemistry Club 2022–2023 Results

Thank you to our 450+ students who made this a fun and educational year in the Salters’ Chemistry Club!

This year’s Salters’ Chemistry Club has covered its final topic, and what a year it’s been! This year, 459 students took their learning beyond the classroom. The students came from over 70 schools from across the United Kingdom and internationally in 5 countries. They collectively completed 4,099 activities.

Congratulations to students from Bancroft’s School, Loreto Grammar School, Woodford County High School, Nower Hill High School and Oaks and Acorns in Harmony C.I.C who ranked in the top five Chemistry Clubbers for 2022/23. We will be celebrating their achievements at our Annual Awards Ceremony in December.

This year students learnt about topics ranging from space to textiles to technology. They met people from across the United Kingdom including professors in Leeds and London, researchers at a synchrotron, and even an Olympic gold medallist!

We are also delighted that the Chemistry Club was shortlisted for a Bett Award 2023, which recognised the innovation and quality of activities in the club.

Chemistry Club is an innovative online learning platform for 11-14 year olds which sparks and nurtures an interest in chemistry through independent learning. The Salters’ Chemistry Club is evolved from a handbook created for teachers to develop and grow clubs in schools into a fully online programme today. Chemistry Club aims to demystify chemistry by showcasing the breadth and depth of the subject and the wide range of careers it can lead to.
