Apply for the Salters’ Graduate Award 2024

The Salters’ Institute is now accepting applications for our 2024 Graduate Award. This award recognise final-year chemistry and chemical engineering undergraduates who demonstrate the ability to become future leaders in their chosen field.

The Salters’ Institute is now accepting applications for the Salters’ Graduate Award 2024. This award recognises final-year undergraduate students in chemistry and chemical engineering who demonstrate the ability to become leaders in their chosen field. Candidates must be nominated by their Head of Department at a UK university.

Candidates are expected to:

  • be predicted to obtain a First-Class Honours Degree in either chemistry or chemical engineering
  • show passion, skills and motivation to lead and shape the UK chemical or related sectors
  • demonstrate the ability to communicate and motivate others
  • show some knowledge of the current chemical industry and the need for future innovation
  • have a willingness and ability to participate in the Institute’s activities and join our network of future leaders

The person who will be a department’s Graduate Award candidate should complete the Application Form, paying special attention to the criteria for the award. The application must be supported by a reference from the Head of Department.

Up to 10 candidates can win a Graduate Award. Each winner of the Graduate Award will receive £1000.

The deadline for applications to the Salters’ Institute is Tuesday, 7 May 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview at Salters’ Hall on Tuesday, 9 or Wednesday, 10 July 2024.
