Join the Festivals of Chemistry 2024
Registration is open for this years’ Festivals of Chemistry, encouraging 14-16-year-old learners to ‘Discover Chemistry’.
The Salters’ Institute now welcomes sign-ups for the Festivals of Chemistry 2024. The Festivals encourage learners to ‘Discover Chemistry’, explore the subject and see how it can be a pathway to many careers.
Festivals are for students aged 14-16 years old, via the registration of their teacher. Students participate in a hybrid programme that includes videos, classroom activities, day trips to universities and a team challenge. Students can participate in one or more of the three stages, which each highlight a different way of discovering chemistry.
Applications for Discovery Day (Stage 2) places are now open to schools and will close on Monday 5 February 2024. This year, Discovery Days (Stage 2) will be located at:
- Queen Mary University of London (London and South East)
- University of Leeds (Yorkshire and Humber)
- University of East Anglia (East Anglia)
- Queen’s University Belfast (Northern Ireland)
- University of Glasgow (Scotland)
- Swansea University (Wales)
- University of Nottingham (Midlands)
